Volunteers Wanted for HLF’s Board of Directors

Every student deserves a chance – HLF’s vision is to be a collaborative foundation serving Halton District School Board students in need.  One in 10 HDSB students — about 6,600 young people — live at or below the poverty line. HLF provides emergency financial support for hundreds of these students every year, as well as support for schools and post-secondary scholarships through donor directed funding.

HLF is currently seeking up to three new board members to join our fundraising team. We welcome influencers, connectors, business and community leaders who use their influence to open doors to new partners, decision makers and individuals who passionately understand that all children deserve to fully participate in their education regardless of financial means.

This candidate ideally represents a community within Halton Region and offers the board their skills and expertise in the areas of strategic development, partnership development and philanthropy combined with the courage to commit to a new ambitious five-year strategic plan.

If you demonstrate a history of community involvement and are ready to make a difference in the life of a child in your neighbourhood, please email a cover letter and CV addressed to Lesley Mansfield (CEO), and Manon Dulude (Board Chair), by December 16, 2022, with the subject line: Board Volunteer, to mansfieldl@haltonlearningfoundation.ca.

HLF is committed to diversity, trust, and teamwork, fostering an inclusive welcoming environment through our values of compassion, respect, integrity and adaptability.
