Supporting equity through opportunity.
Within Halton, there is economic diversity from community to community. Some school communities and parent councils have greater challenges than others raising funds to assist with additional purchases above and beyond core education funding.
School Engagement Grants are designed to encourage community-building and student success.
Annually, HLF supports dozens of programs in schools across Halton in the following key areas identified in the Halton District School Board’s Multi-Year Strategic Plan:
Mental Health and Well-Being
Kindness, Connection, and Community
Human Rights, Equity and Inclusion
Indigenous Rights and Education
School staff are encouraged to use the form below to submit an Engagement Grant project. Applications for the 2026-27 school year are being accepted from October 19, 2026 until November 16, 2026.
