Canadian Federation of University Women Leadership Awards

$750 Awards established to encourage academic achievement and leadership skills among female students.

  • Eligibility

    All female graduating students at identified Burlington High Schools.

  • Criteria for Selection of Winner

    Leadership Awards

    • Student has demonstrated the qualities of a true leader
    • Student must be pursuing post-secondary education
    • Student is not the recipient of other awards

    Robert Bateman Achievement Award

    • Student began high school in Essential program
    • Student has completed diploma required for Workplace or College level
    • Student is continuing education in Community College, University or Apprenticeship Program
    • Student has made a positive contribution to school life
    • Student is not the recipient of other awards

    Gary Allan Achievement Award

    • Student is a full-time student
    • Student has demonstrated the qualities of a true leader
    • Student is continuing her education in Community College, University or Apprenticeship Program
    • Student is not the recipient of other awards

    Brenda Tyerman Award 2018 – MM Robinson

    • Student has been accepted into a post-secondary program
    • Student has financial need

    NOTE: Students must provide a brief description of future education plans and a digital picture that could be published in CFUW Burlington web site published material.

  • Judging/Selection

    Eligible students will be selected annually by the schools.
